Senior Biostatistician (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Biostatistician to join their data-driven organization on a fully remote basis, supporting operations associated with Randburg . This critical role involves designing statistical analysis plans, conducting complex statistical analyses, and interpreting results for clinical trials and research studies. You will work closely with clinical development, data management, and medical affairs teams to ensure the integrity and validity of study data. This fully remote position requires a sophisticated understanding of statistical methodologies and a proven ability to communicate technical findings effectively to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop statistical analysis plans (SAPs) for clinical trials and research projects.
• Perform complex statistical analyses using SAS, R, or similar statistical software.
• Interpret statistical results and prepare study reports, tables, figures, and listings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data collection requirements and ensure data quality.
• Contribute to the design of clinical trial protocols, ensuring appropriate statistical methodology.
• Mentor junior biostatisticians and provide statistical expertise across projects.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in biostatistics within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Expert proficiency in statistical programming software such as SAS or R.
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial design, statistical inference, and survival analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, adapted for remote teamwork.
