About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly experienced Senior Buyer to join their fully remote team, supporting operations based out of Pretoria . Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing activities for assigned categories, including market analysis, supplier selection, and contract negotiation.
• Manage and develop relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance meets or exceeds expectations regarding quality, delivery, and cost.
• Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
• Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency across the remote workforce.
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders via virtual channels to understand their needs and ensure procurement solutions align with business objectives.
• Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle from requisition to payment, ensuring accuracy and timely execution in a remote setting.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in buying , procurement, or strategic sourcing.
• Demonstrated success in negotiating complex contracts and achieving significant cost savings.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, market dynamics, and supplier relationship management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and virtual collaboration skills are essential for this remote role.
• Proficiency with procurement software and digital collaboration tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; advanced certifications are advantageous.
