Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for critical raw materials, components, and services, aiming for significant cost savings and improved quality.
- Manage and develop relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance metrics are met and identifying opportunities for collaboration.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, pricing, and potential supply chain risks.
- Oversee the contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, and renewal of agreements with suppliers.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior procurement staff within the remote team structure.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and finance teams to forecast demand and ensure supply continuity.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing and buyer roles, with a strong track record of success.
- Expertise in negotiating high-value contracts and managing complex supplier relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management principles, and market dynamics.
- Proficiency in procurement software and advanced analytical tools.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, suited for remote team collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; CIPS certification is a plus.
