Senior Catering Logistics Coordinator (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and highly experienced Senior Catering Logistics Coordinator to join their expanding team in a fully remote capacity. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of catering services across various locations. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all logistical aspects of our catering operations, from sourcing ingredients to final delivery. The ideal candidate is a master of organization, possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, and has a deep understanding of supply chain management within the food and beverage industry. Working remotely from Klerksdorp or any other designated location, you will liave closely with vendors, operational teams, and clients to guarantee seamless service delivery and maintain our high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive logistical plans for all catering events and operations.
• Manage inventory, procurement, and supply chain processes for food, beverages, and catering equipment.
• Coordinate with a network of suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Oversee transportation and delivery schedules, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Implement and maintain robust quality control measures throughout the logistical process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any logistical challenges or disruptions that may arise.
• Collaborate with the culinary and event management teams to align logistics with event requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, deliveries, and logistical costs.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food handling regulations during transport and storage.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the catering supply chain.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on logistical status.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations, preferably within the catering or hospitality sector.
• Proven ability to manage complex logistical operations and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and procurement processes.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
