About the Role
Our client is looking for an accomplished Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their globally distributed team, working remotely. This critical role focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of sophisticated industrial control systems, automation solutions, and SCADA platforms. You will leverage your deep expertise to enhance operational efficiency, ensure system reliability, and drive innovation in automation technologies across various projects. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop PLC, DCS, and HMI control system logic and architectures for industrial processes.
- Configure and commission automation hardware and software, including sensors, actuators, and variable frequency drives.
- Develop and maintain SCADA systems for real-time monitoring, data acquisition, and process control.
- Perform system integration, troubleshooting, and optimization to improve performance and reliability.
- Create and manage project documentation, including P&IDs, electrical schematics, and functional design specifications.
- Provide remote technical support and guidance to field service teams and end-users.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
- Proficiency with major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and SCADA software packages.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, particularly in remote troubleshooting scenarios.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
