Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning models for predictive maintenance, reservoir performance, and operational efficiency optimization.
- Analyze large, complex datasets from various sources within the Oil & Gas value chain to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and validate model performance.
- Collaborate with domain experts, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data science solutions.
- Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly through visualizations and reports to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, and evaluate their applicability to the energy sector.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong preference for experience in the Oil & Gas industry or a closely related energy sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data science libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
