Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage drilling fluid programs tailored to specific well objectives and geological formations.
• Monitor drilling fluid performance remotely, analyzing data to ensure optimal rheology, density, and chemical properties.
• Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for drilling fluid-related issues encountered by rig crews globally.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices for drilling fluid management and disposal.
• Conduct laboratory testing and analysis to validate fluid properties and develop new fluid formulations when necessary.
• Collaborate with drilling engineers and operational teams to integrate drilling fluid planning with overall well design and execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience as a Drilling Fluids Engineer, with a strong track record in diverse drilling environments.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling fluid chemistry, rheology, and additive functionalities.
• Familiarity with solids control equipment, mud mixing systems, and related technologies.
• Strong understanding of drilling hydraulics, wellbore stability, and formation damage mechanisms.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting.
