About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Automation Engineer to join their forward-thinking team, operating fully remotely from South Africa . This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing complex automation and control systems for industrial processes across various sectors. You will lead automation projects, provide technical expertise, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and productivity. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and specification of industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and robotics. Develop and implement complex control logic and software for automated manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot and resolve advanced automation issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Oversee system integration, testing, and commissioning of automation solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to automation engineering teams. Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and deliver tailored automation solutions. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering. Extensive experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000) and HMI/SCADA development.
Strong knowledge of robotics , motion control, industrial networks, and system integration. Proven ability to lead automation projects from conception to completion.
