About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team in a fully remote capacity. This pivotal role will involve overseeing complex financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving financial strategy. You will play a key part in financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS.
- Oversee and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decisions.
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance; CA(SA) or equivalent qualification is essential.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and reporting.
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and South African tax legislation.
- Proven experience with large-scale ERP systems and advanced analytical tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
