About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and artistic Senior Hair Stylist & Colourist to join their prestigious salon in Durban . This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who excels in all aspects of hairdressing, from precision cutting to advanced colour techniques. You will be responsible for providing top-tier client services, understanding client needs, and delivering exceptional results that align with current fashion trends. As a senior member of the team, you will also play a role in mentoring junior stylists and upholding the salon's reputation for excellence in the beauty and wellness sector, working exclusively on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of hairdressing services, including haircuts, styling, perms, and updos for various hair types.
• Execute advanced colour techniques such as balayage, ombré, highlights, and colour correction with precision.
• Consult with clients to understand their desired look, assess hair condition, and recommend suitable styles and colours.
• Ensure a high standard of client satisfaction through excellent service, attention to detail, and a welcoming salon environment.
• Maintain impeccable hygiene standards within the salon and for all tools and equipment used.
• Stay updated on the latest hairdressing trends, techniques, and product innovations.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience as a qualified Hair Stylist and Colourist .
• Proficiency in all cutting techniques and extensive expertise in modern and classic colour application.
• Excellent client consultation skills and the ability to build and maintain a loyal client base.
• Strong understanding of hair health and ability to provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
• A passion for the beauty and wellness industry and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Relevant hairdressing qualifications and certifications are essential.
