About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety management systems and policies.
• Conduct remote risk assessments and site safety audits, identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver engaging safety training sessions and toolbox talks to site personnel via virtual platforms.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and implementing preventative measures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant South African OHS legislation and industry standards.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and site management teams to promote a strong safety culture remotely.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., SAMTRAC, NEBOSH).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Health and Safety role within the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of South African OHS Act and related regulations.
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and security audits.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and virtual training skills .
• Ability to work independently and manage safety compliance for multiple projects from a remote location.
