Senior Insurance Product Manager (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and strategic Senior Insurance Product Manager to lead the development and execution of their product roadmap, operating in a fully remote capacity to support their Stellenbosch-based initiatives. You will own the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and market research to launch and iteration, ensuring our offerings meet evolving customer needs and market demands. This role requires a deep understanding of the insurance landscape, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on market analysis, customer feedback, and business objectives.
• Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities.
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and specifications for engineering and design teams.
• Manage the product development process from conception through launch and post-launch optimization.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, underwriting, and claims teams to ensure successful product go-to-market.
• Analyze product performance metrics and iterate on products to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in product management, with a significant portion within the insurance industry.
• Demonstrated success in launching and managing complex insurance products.
• Strong understanding of product management methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote, cross-functional environment.
