Senior Mine Geologist - Remote

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Mine Geologist to join their fully remote exploration and resource evaluation team. This critical role involves providing expert geological insights and technical leadership for various mining projects, focusing on resource definition, grade control, and exploration target generation. You will collaborate with a global, distributed team of geologists, engineers, and management, utilizing advanced geological software and data analysis techniques from your home office. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed geological mapping, structural analysis, and 3D modeling of ore bodies.
• Oversee and interpret diamond drilling, reverse circulation drilling, and other exploration data.
• Perform grade control activities, ensuring accurate resource estimation and reconciliation.
• Identify and evaluate new exploration targets and opportunities for resource expansion.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and geological summaries for management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Geology or Economic Geology.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mine geology, with a focus on gold or platinum group metals.
• Expertise in 3D geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine) and data management.
• Strong understanding of geological processes, mineralization controls, and sampling methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
