Senior Petroleum Geologist - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Petroleum Geologist to join their fully remote global exploration team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in identifying and evaluating new hydrocarbon prospects through in-depth geological analysis and interpretation of seismic and well data. You will work collaboratively with geophysicists and reservoir engineers, contributing your expertise to strategic exploration campaigns worldwide. Key Responsibilities

• Interpret 2D and 3D seismic data to identify potential reservoirs and structural traps.
• Integrate geological, geophysical, and engineering data to build comprehensive subsurface models.
• Conduct detailed prospect evaluation and risk assessment for exploration opportunities.
• Collaborate with exploration teams to develop and execute drilling strategies.
• Prepare detailed geological reports, maps, and presentations for technical and management review.
• Stay abreast of the latest geological concepts and exploration technologies.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Geology, Geophysics, or a related earth science field.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in petroleum exploration geology .
• Proven expertise in seismic interpretation , well log analysis, and sequence stratigraphy.
• Experience with geological modeling software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong understanding of basin analysis and petroleum systems.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and analytical skills suitable for a remote environment .
