About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and execute experiments for the discovery and development of novel biologic drug candidates.
• Develop and characterize therapeutic proteins, antibodies, or other biologics using a variety of molecular and cellular biology techniques.
• Optimize cell lines for protein expression and production.
• Develop and scale-up bioprocesses for the manufacturing of biologic drug substances.
• Perform analytical characterization of biologics, including purity, potency, and stability assessments.
• Troubleshoot experimental challenges and develop innovative solutions.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and present findings to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to the preparation of scientific reports, manuscripts, and regulatory documentation.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in biologics research, protein engineering, and bioprocessing technologies.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to advance project goals.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to a dynamic, collaborative research environment.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant post-doctoral or industry experience in biologics discovery and development.
• Demonstrated expertise in areas such as antibody engineering, protein expression, mammalian cell culture, and purification techniques.
• Hands-on experience with analytical techniques for biologics characterization (e.g., HPLC, ELISA, Western Blot, SPR, mass spectrometry).
• Experience with bioprocess development and scale-up is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of protein structure-function relationships and their impact on therapeutic efficacy.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex scientific data.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to scientific challenges.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple research projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation software.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for biologics development is a plus.
