Senior Process Design Engineer (Remote)

About the Role Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Process Design Engineer for a fully remote position, joining their esteemed engineering division. You will take the lead in conceptualizing, designing, and optimizing intricate chemical processes for a variety of industrial applications. This role demands a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, advanced simulation techniques, and a proactive approach to problem-solving from a distance. You will collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders globally, driving the successful execution of complex design projects in a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of process designs, from conceptual studies to detailed engineering packages.
• Perform complex process simulations, modeling, and analyses to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) according to industry best practices.
• Conduct thorough technical reviews and risk assessments for all process designs.
• Provide expert technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in process design engineering, with a focus on industrial chemical processes.
• Expert proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Pro/II) and CAD tools.
• Demonstrated experience in leading design efforts for complex projects.
• In-depth knowledge of HAZOP , LOPA, and other process safety analysis techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote role.
