Senior Project Manager - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to join their fully remote workforce. This role is essential for overseeing a portfolio of strategic projects, ensuring their successful delivery from conception to completion, regardless of geographic location. You will work with diverse, globally distributed teams, driving project execution through effective leadership and communication. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, comfortable managing complex initiatives in a virtual environment, and dedicated to achieving organizational objectives from anywhere in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of assigned projects, ensuring they meet defined objectives, scope, and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
• Foster strong working relationships and facilitate effective communication across virtual, cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Implement and champion project management best practices and methodologies tailored for remote environments.
• Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Track project progress, analyze performance metrics, and provide comprehensive status reports to senior management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project management , with a substantial track record of managing complex, remote projects.
• Proven expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies , with a solid understanding of their application in virtual settings.
• Exceptional skills in leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management, particularly in a remote context.
• Proficiency with leading project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Slack, Microsoft Project).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a results-driven approach.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; PMP or equivalent certification is highly valued.
