Senior Quantity Surveyor - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and meticulous Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team, operating entirely remotely. This role is essential for managing all costs relating to construction projects, from initial estimates to final account settlements. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure financial viability and control throughout the project lifecycle, leveraging advanced digital tools for remote collaboration. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for construction projects.
• Manage tendering processes, including preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids.
• Administer contracts, including variations, claims, and final account settlements.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction phase, identifying and mitigating financial risks.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide cost-benefit analysis for proposed projects.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure financial objectives are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., SACQSP) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in cost management software and estimating tools.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., JBCC, FIDIC) and procurement processes.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills for remote project management.
