About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Remote Blockchain Engineer to join their globally distributed team, supporting their operations near Nelspruit. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex smart contracts and dApps on various blockchain platforms.
• Develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs for blockchain applications.

• Conduct in-depth code reviews, performance tuning, and security audits for blockchain codebases.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to establishing best practices within the development team.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of software development experience, with a minimum of 4 years focused on blockchain technology.
• Expertise in smart contract programming languages such as Solidity or Rust.
• Proven experience with major blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Polkadot, Solana).
• Deep understanding of decentralized systems, cryptographic concepts, and consensus mechanisms.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
