Senior Remote Logistics Planner - Mahikeng Hub

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly analytical and experienced Senior Logistics Planner to join their fully remote operations team, supporting their hub in Mahikeng . This is a critical role focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing complex logistics strategies and supply chain solutions. You will leverage data analytics, advanced planning tools, and deep industry knowledge to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels across the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote setting, possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, and is adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, driving continuous improvement in all aspects of logistics planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine long-term and short-term logistics plans, including network design, transportation strategies, and inventory management.
• Analyze logistics data , market trends, and operational performance to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and sales, to ensure alignment of logistics strategies with business objectives.
• Evaluate and select third-party logistics providers, negotiating contracts and managing performance.
• Implement and oversee the utilization of advanced logistics and planning software to optimize operations.
• Lead projects focused on process improvement, technology adoption, and supply chain innovation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in logistics planning, supply chain optimization , or transportation management.
• Expertise in using advanced logistics planning software , WMS, TMS, and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven ability to thrive and lead effectively in a fully remote work environment .
