About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee critical utilities and infrastructure projects for their fully remote team, supporting operations related to the Upington region. This pivotal role involves managing the complete project lifecycle, from initial planning and feasibility studies to execution, commissioning, and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards, while maintaining efficient budget and schedule adherence. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full lifecycle of utility and infrastructure projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource requirements, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate effectively with engineering teams, contractors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders in a virtual environment.
• Oversee project execution, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and control financial aspects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring smooth project progression.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical), Construction Management, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is essential.
• A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure or utility projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects entirely in a remote setting, with strong virtual leadership capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, contract administration, and relevant industry regulations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills adapted for remote operations.
