Senior Reservoir Geologist - Remote Analytics Lead

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Reservoir Geologist to lead their remote analytics team. This position is central to understanding and modeling subsurface reservoirs, driving exploration and production strategies through advanced data analysis and geological interpretation. You will work from a fully remote location, collaborating with geoscientists and engineers worldwide to deliver critical insights into reservoir characteristics, potential, and performance. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in geological modeling, data integration, and a passion for leveraging technology to unlock the full potential of hydrocarbon assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine 3D geological models based on well logs, core data, seismic interpretations, and other subsurface information.
• Integrate diverse geological datasets to characterize reservoir properties, including lithology, porosity, and permeability.
• Conduct reservoir quality analysis and uncertainty assessments to support exploration and development decisions.
• Utilize advanced analytical techniques and software for reservoir characterization and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate closely with reservoir engineers and geophysicists to ensure integrated subsurface interpretations.
• Mentor junior geologists and contribute to the development of best practices in geological modeling and analysis.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in reservoir geology and geological modeling.
• Proficiency in industry-standard geological modeling software (e.g., Petrel, GeoGraphix, DecisionSpace).
• Strong understanding of sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology in relation to hydrocarbon systems.
• Experience with data analysis and interpretation from various subsurface sources.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline.
