About the Role

Our client, a leading name in the retail sector, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Retail Operations Manager to spearhead their operations. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will play a crucial role in optimizing store performance, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences across all retail channels. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic operational plans to achieve business objectives and enhance profitability.
• Oversee daily retail operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all store activities and compliance with company policies.
• Manage inventory levels, optimize stock turnover, and minimize shrinkage across all retail locations.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Lead and mentor regional store managers, providing guidance and support to drive team performance.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency and sales performance.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security regulations within all operational environments.
• Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to align operational strategies with promotional campaigns.
• Drive initiatives to enhance the customer shopping experience and foster customer loyalty.
• Manage operational budgets and control expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in retail management, with at least 3 years in a senior operational role.
• Proven ability to develop and execute successful operational strategies in a multi-site retail environment.
• Strong understanding of retail KPIs, financial management, and inventory control principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage remote teams.
• Proficiency in retail management software and data analysis tools.
• Demonstrated experience in driving sales growth and improving operational efficiency.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
• A relevant degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Must be based in South Africa and eligible to work remotely.
