Senior Security Architect (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Security Architect to join their security team in a fully remote capacity, supporting operations near Richards Bay . Key Responsibilities

• Design and document secure enterprise-level IT architectures, ensuring security is integrated from the ground up.
• Develop and enforce security standards, guidelines, and best practices for cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
• Lead security reviews for new projects and systems, providing architectural guidance and identifying potential risks.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure the secure deployment of applications and services.
• Develop and maintain security architecture roadmaps, aligning with business strategy and emerging threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in IT security , with at least 5 years in a security architecture role.
• Proven experience designing secure solutions for complex, distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Deep understanding of security domains, including network security, application security, cryptography, and identity management.
• Experience with security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001) and threat modeling.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with strong capabilities in remote collaboration .
