Senior Subsurface Geoscientist - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Subsurface Geoscientist to join their globally distributed, fully remote exploration and development team. This role is crucial for interpreting complex geological and geophysical data to identify and characterize hydrocarbon potential in new and existing assets. You will leverage advanced modeling and analysis techniques to contribute significantly to the company's strategic subsurface understanding and decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities

• Integrate seismic, well log, and core data to build and refine 3D geological models.
• Perform detailed basin analysis and play fairway mapping for exploration targeting.
• Conduct static and dynamic reservoir characterization studies to define hydrocarbon volumes and distribution.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers and production geologists on field development planning.
• Utilize advanced geophysical interpretation techniques to assess subsurface structures and stratigraphy.
• Prepare technical presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and potential partners.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or a related geoscience discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in subsurface geosciences , with a focus on exploration or development.
• Proficiency in geological and geophysical software (e.g., Petrel, DecisionSpace Geosciences).
• Expertise in seismic interpretation , structural geology, and stratigraphy.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote setting .
