This is a fully remote position requiring a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of complex network environments. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing network solutions that ensure the highest levels of performance, reliability, and security for our operations across South Africa and beyond.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues and incidents.
• Develop and implement network security policies and procedures.
• Optimize network performance through configuration tuning and capacity planning.
• Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
• Minimum 7 years of experience in telecoms network engineering .
• Strong expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, and firewall management.
• Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible).
• In-depth knowledge of IP networking, MPLS, and wireless technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CCIE or equivalent professional qualifications are highly valued.
