Senior Transportation Engineer - Remote

About the Role

Our client seeks a seasoned Senior Transportation Engineer to join their fully remote team and lead the development of efficient and sustainable transportation systems. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects, including roadways, highways, and public transit networks. Working from your home office, you will collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that enhance mobility and safety. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and project management of transportation infrastructure projects, such as roadway design , intersection improvements, and traffic management systems.
• Conduct traffic analyses, capacity studies, and simulation modeling to optimize transportation network performance.
• Develop engineering designs , construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with relevant transportation standards, regulations, and environmental policies.
• Mentor and guide junior transportation engineers and technical staff within the remote team.
• Engage with clients, public agencies, and stakeholders to present project proposals and findings effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation engineering and project delivery.
• Proficiency in transportation engineering software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, HCS, Synchro, or VISSIM.
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, geometric design, and pavement engineering .
• Demonstrated project management experience and strong communication skills for remote collaboration.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly desirable.
