About the Role

Our client seeks a knowledgeable Solar Panel Installation Technician to provide essential remote support for their nationwide client base. In this fully remote role, you will guide customers through the complex process of installing solar panel systems, offering expert advice and troubleshooting assistance via video calls and phone consultations. Your role is critical in ensuring that clients can successfully and safely implement renewable energy solutions, contributing to a sustainable future. This position is ideal for an experienced technician who excels at remote communication and problem-solving, enabling them to make a significant impact without the need for physical travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide detailed, remote guidance on solar panel system installation procedures, from initial setup to final connection.
• Troubleshoot common installation challenges and technical issues encountered by clients using remote tools.
• Interpret and explain system diagrams , electrical schematics, and product manuals to customers.
• Conduct virtual site assessments based on client-provided information and photos.
• Document all remote interactions, solutions provided, and client feedback within the CRM system.
• Stay current with industry best practices, safety standards, and new solar technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Solar Panel Installer or in a related electrical/renewable energy installation field.
• Strong understanding of solar energy systems, including components, wiring, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills , vital for remote guidance.
• Proficiency with remote support technologies, video conferencing, and potentially diagnostic software.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Experience with reading and interpreting technical specifications and blueprints is essential.
