What You’ll Do • Design end-to-end data architectures on AWS, with Databricks at the core • Own architectural decisions across data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and platform integrations • Translate complex business and product requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions • Define standards, patterns, and best practices for building with PySpark, Python, SQL, and Databricks • Act as a technical leader and advisor for engineering teams • Collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment and long-term scalability • Review designs and implementations to ensure performance, security, reliability, and cost efficiency What We’re Looking For • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, solution architecture, or related roles • Proven experience designing enterprise‑grade data platforms and architectures • Deep, hands‑on expertise with Databricks (production and architectural experience required), AWS, PySpark, Python, and SQL • Strong understanding of Distributed data systems, Cloud‑native architecture principles, and Data modeling and integration patterns • Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders • Fluent English, both written and spoken Location This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be based in regions that align with the Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration with client and team schedules.
