Remote Dispatch and Logistics Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Remote Dispatch and Logistics Manager to lead their distributed operations team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to manage dispatch, route planning, and fleet coordination from anywhere. You will be responsible for optimizing delivery schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and maintaining high service levels across a wide operational area. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics technology, and the ability to motivate and manage a remote workforce to achieve operational excellence and drive customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the remote dispatch and logistics operations, including driver scheduling and route optimization.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve delivery efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service.
• Utilize advanced logistics software and telematics to monitor fleet performance and proactively address issues.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of remote dispatchers and drivers, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and report regularly on operational metrics to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company safety policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management , dispatch operations, or a related field, with a significant portion in a remote or supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated expertise in using route optimization software , TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and fleet tracking technologies.
• Proven ability to lead and manage remote teams effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
