About the Role
Our client is looking for a vigilant and detail-oriented Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join their fully remote team. In this crucial role, you will be the first line of defense, monitoring security alerts, detecting threats, and responding to incidents in real-time to protect the organization's critical systems and data. You will work with advanced security tools and collaborate with a global team of security professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
- Analyze security incidents to determine scope, cause, and impact.
- Perform initial investigation and containment of security threats and breaches.
- Escalate complex security incidents to senior analysts and incident response teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation of security events, incidents, and actions taken.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of SOC playbooks and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in a SOC environment or related cybersecurity role.
- Familiarity with security monitoring tools and concepts (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning).
- Understanding of common attack vectors and threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and collaboration in a remote setting.
