About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to ensure the accuracy and security of financial data.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS .
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insightful financial analysis to leadership.
• Lead and mentor a remote accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CA(SA) or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management.
• Demonstrated experience in a financial controller or similar senior accounting role.
• Expertise in financial reporting standards (IFRS) and South African tax legislation.
• Proven ability to manage remote teams and work effectively in a distributed environment.
• Advanced proficiency with financial management software and data analysis tools.
