Full Stack Developer (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Full Stack Developer for a fully remote position, perfect for candidates based anywhere in South Africa. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of our web applications. This role requires a proactive individual who can contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance. You will work in an agile, collaborative remote environment, driving the creation of robust and scalable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable web applications using a combination of front-end and back-end technologies.
• Design and build efficient, reusable, and reliable code across the full stack.
• Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic and databases.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with product managers and other developers to define software requirements and technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end application development.
• Proficiency in both front-end (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular/Vue) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python/Django, Ruby/Rails, Java/Spring).
• Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and API design.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
