Remote Project Manager - IT Infrastructure

Our client is looking for an experienced Remote Project Manager to lead critical IT infrastructure projects. This fully remote role offers the flexibility to manage projects from anywhere in South Africa, focusing on the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and networks. You will collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment of infrastructure solutions that support business objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects, including servers, networks, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Coordinate effectively with internal IT teams, external vendors, and stakeholders across different locations.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Oversee the implementation of new IT infrastructure, ensuring it meets performance, security, and scalability requirements.
• Provide regular project status updates, reports, and presentations to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in project management , specifically within IT infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing remote IT projects and leading geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong understanding of network technologies, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), cybersecurity principles, and server management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with IT project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project).
