Senior Chemical Process Engineer (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join their team on a fully remote basis. This pivotal role will involve leading the design, development, and optimization of complex chemical processes from afar. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to drive innovation, ensure operational excellence, and contribute to strategic projects across various business units. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and detailed design of new chemical processes and the modification of existing ones.
• Conduct thorough process simulations, data analysis, and economic evaluations to support decision-making.
• Develop and manage process documentation, including P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and operating procedures.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
• Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for process-related issues, working collaboratively with site teams.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical process design and development, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
• Extensive experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, UniSim) and advanced modeling techniques.
• Deep understanding of chemical reaction engineering, separation processes, and thermodynamics.
• Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and risk assessment methodologies is essential.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with strong emphasis on remote collaboration.
