About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Remote Actuarial Analyst to join their actuarial department, working entirely remotely. You will play a vital role in developing and maintaining complex actuarial models used for pricing insurance products, assessing financial risks, and ensuring the company's long-term solvency. This position requires advanced analytical skills, proficiency in actuarial software, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a distributed team, contributing to critical financial strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and validate sophisticated actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and financial forecasting.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, assess risk exposures, and support strategic business decisions.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with underwriting, finance, and product development teams on various projects.
- Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging actuarial techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Actuarial Analyst within the insurance industry.
- Progress towards actuarial designations (e.g., FIA, FSA) is strongly preferred.
- Expertise in actuarial modeling software (e.g., Prophet, ALFA, or similar) and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
