Remote Production Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Remote Production Operations Manager to oversee their upstream production activities within the oil & gas industry . This critical leadership role, based remotely, will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of multiple production facilities. You will manage production targets, optimize operational performance, and lead a team of remote and field-based personnel. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in production management, a strong understanding of surface facilities, and exceptional leadership capabilities to drive operational excellence from afar. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production volumes and minimize operational costs.
• Ensure adherence to stringent Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and regulations.
• Oversee the maintenance and integrity of production facilities and equipment.
• Manage production teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Monitor production performance against targets, analyzing data and implementing corrective actions.
• Coordinate with reservoir engineering, drilling, and commercial teams to align production strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Significant experience (10+ years) in oil and gas production operations, with proven management experience.
• Deep understanding of production optimization techniques, artificial lift systems, and surface facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage remote teams effectively.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
