About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to join their fully remote research team. This position is instrumental in driving innovation through the analysis of large-scale biological data, including genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sophisticated analytical pipelines, interpreting complex datasets, and contributing to groundbreaking discoveries in therapeutic research. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate computational pipelines for the analysis of high-throughput biological data.
• Perform in-depth statistical analysis and interpretation of genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic datasets.
• Collaborate with experimental biologists and clinicians to translate data findings into biological insights and research directions.
• Contribute to the development of novel algorithms and machine learning models for biological data analysis.
• Author technical documentation, reports, and publications summarizing research findings.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in bioinformatics tools, technologies, and methodologies.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in bioinformatics or computational biology.
• Proven expertise in analyzing large-scale omics datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics).
• Strong programming skills in Python or R, and experience with relevant bioinformatics libraries and databases.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for effective remote teamwork.
