Remote Senior BIM Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is searching for a highly experienced Senior BIM Coordinator to join their fully remote, globally distributed team, with a focus on supporting projects originating from the Stellenbosch region. This role is pivotal in managing and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies across various architectural and construction projects. You will be responsible for establishing BIM standards, coordinating model development, and ensuring seamless data exchange between project stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in BIM software and a strong understanding of its application in modern construction workflows, all managed from a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for all projects.
• Coordinate and manage the creation and maintenance of BIM models from multiple disciplines.
• Conduct clash detection and ensure the integrity and accuracy of federated models.
• Provide technical support and training to project teams on BIM software and processes.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to facilitate efficient model exchange and integration.
• Champion the adoption and advancement of BIM technologies within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in BIM coordination or management.
• Expert proficiency in Revit , Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, and other relevant BIM software.
• In-depth knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage complex BIM projects remotely and coordinate dispersed teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
