About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and forward-thinking Remote Production Planning Specialist to manage and optimize their production schedules. You will be responsible for creating efficient production plans that meet demand, manage resources effectively, and minimize lead times, all while working from your own location. This role is critical for ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of manufactured goods. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and excels in a remote collaboration setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability and smooth workflow.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes or unforeseen issues.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements for efficiency.
• Manage inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods in relation to production plans.
• Communicate production status, issues, and plans to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in production planning software (e.g., MRP/ERP systems).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for a remote environment.
