About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Purchasing Coordinator to support their operations from Stellenbosch . This fully remote role is integral to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods and services, focusing on managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will be a key player in the supply chain, ensuring operational continuity through diligent coordination and proactive problem-solving, all within a remote work setting that prioritizes autonomy and effective virtual collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
• Monitor order status, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchasing activities and supplier information.
• Liaise with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide updates.
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying potential improvements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement coordination role.
• Proficiency in using purchasing software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective remote collaboration.
