Remote Precision Agriculture Specialist

Our client is seeking an innovative Remote Precision Agriculture Specialist to join their forward-thinking organization. This is a fully remote role where you will guide farmers and agricultural businesses in implementing advanced technologies to optimize farm management and resource utilization. You will work with clients globally, providing expertise on GPS guidance, variable rate technology, drone imagery analysis, and sensor data interpretation. Your role will be crucial in helping clients make data-driven decisions to enhance crop performance, reduce environmental impact, and increase profitability through the strategic application of precision agriculture techniques, fostering a more efficient and sustainable future for farming worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand their specific farming operations and identify opportunities for precision agriculture adoption.
• Advise on the selection, implementation, and calibration of precision agriculture technologies, such as GPS guidance systems, soil sensors, and yield monitors.
• Analyze data from drones, satellite imagery, and other sensors to create detailed field maps and prescription zones.
• Develop and communicate data-driven strategies for variable rate application of fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides.
• Provide ongoing support and training to clients on the effective use of precision agriculture tools and platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Precision Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with precision agriculture technologies and data analysis.
• Familiarity with GIS software, farm management information systems (FMIS), and data visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of crop science, soil management, and agronomic principles.
• Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills, suitable for a remote advisory role.
