Remote Information Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is looking for a visionary Remote Information Security Architect to design and implement robust security solutions for their globally distributed infrastructure. This role requires an individual capable of thinking strategically about security design, translating business requirements into secure technical architectures, and guiding development teams on secure coding practices. You will be at the forefront of defining security standards and controls, ensuring our digital assets are protected against evolving threats in a fully remote environment. This is a critical position for driving security excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and document secure enterprise-level security architectures and solutions.
• Define security requirements and controls for new systems, applications, and cloud environments.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and services to enhance the organization's security posture.
• Develop and maintain security standards, patterns, and best practices for cloud security and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on security best practices to development and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on security architecture and design.
• Proven experience designing security solutions for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep understanding of network security, application security, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection.
• Experience with security architecture frameworks and threat modeling.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, comfortable working in a remote-first setting.
