About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned and strategic Remote Purchasing Manager to lead their procurement function. This is a fully remote opportunity, offering the flexibility to manage operations and strategy from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective purchasing strategies, managing a team, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring the cost-effective acquisition of goods and services that support the company's objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing and purchasing plans to meet business needs and cost targets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a remote purchasing team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Oversee all aspects of the procurement process, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor and manage departmental budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 3 years in a management role, preferably leading remote teams.
• Proven success in developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives and achieving substantial cost reductions.
• Expertise in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk assessment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and remote collaboration tools.
