About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Remote Biostatistician to contribute to their cutting-edge research and development efforts, operating fully remotely to serve teams based around Kimberley and beyond. This critical role involves designing statistical analysis plans, conducting sophisticated statistical analyses, and interpreting results for clinical trials and other research projects. You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and validity of study data, providing crucial statistical insights that inform decision-making for drug development and regulatory submissions. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated statistician looking for a challenging and impactful remote role within the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design statistical analysis plans (SAPs) for clinical studies, ensuring appropriate methodologies are selected.
  • Perform statistical analyses of clinical trial data using statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, R).
  • Interpret statistical results and communicate findings clearly to study teams, including non-statisticians.
  • Collaborate with clinical researchers, data managers, and medical writers to ensure data quality and appropriate analysis.
  • Contribute to the design of clinical trials, including sample size calculations and randomization schemes.
  • Prepare statistical sections of clinical study reports, regulatory submissions, and manuscripts for publication.

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Biostatistician in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a focus on clinical trials.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as SAS and/or R.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods commonly used in drug development and regulatory affairs.
  • Experience with study design, data analysis, and reporting for regulatory submissions (e.g., IND, NDA).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, essential for a remote work environment.
