Remote HR Generalist - Employee Relations

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote HR Generalist specializing in Employee Relations . This fully remote position allows you to work from any location while managing sensitive employee relations issues, conducting investigations, and ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies. You will be a key advisor to management and employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment by proactively addressing workplace conflicts and promoting ethical conduct. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a harmonious and compliant workplace culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including grievances and disputes.
• Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee complaints and policy violations.
• Provide guidance and support to managers on employee performance management and disciplinary actions.
• Interpret and advise on company policies and employment legislation.
• Develop and deliver training on employee relations topics to management and staff.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of HR policies and procedures to promote a fair and equitable workplace.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR with a strong focus on employee relations.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law and industrial relations practices.
• Proven experience in conducting workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
