About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Grid Operations Engineer to join their entirely remote operational team. This critical role focuses on ensuring the stability, reliability, and efficiency of the electricity grid. You will be responsible for monitoring grid performance, analyzing operational data, and developing strategies to manage power flow, voltage, and frequency. Working from anywhere, you will collaborate with system operators, power plant managers, and regulatory bodies to maintain grid integrity, especially during peak demand periods and unexpected events. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in power systems engineering and a proactive approach to grid management.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time grid operations, identifying and responding to potential disturbances or emergencies.
• Analyze grid performance data to optimize power flow, voltage profiles, and resource dispatch.
• Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance grid reliability and stability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on grid expansion planning and integration of new energy sources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in power grid operations or planning.

• Proficiency with SCADA systems, EMS (Energy Management Systems), and grid simulation software.
