Remote Subsurface Geologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Subsurface Geologist to join their exploration and production team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to critical geological assessments for their Oil & Gas operations. You will be instrumental in interpreting geological data, identifying potential hydrocarbon reservoirs, and providing essential subsurface insights to guide exploration and development strategies, all from a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret seismic, well log, and core data to build detailed 3D geological models.
• Identify and evaluate potential hydrocarbon exploration targets and prospects.
• Characterize reservoir properties and estimate hydrocarbon volumes.
• Collaborate virtually with subsurface teams, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers.
• Prepare comprehensive geological reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geological software and subsurface interpretation techniques.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related geoscience field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in subsurface geology, specifically within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency with geological modeling and interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong understanding of sequence stratigraphy, sedimentology, and structural geology.
• Experience with data analysis and integration from various subsurface datasets.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work autonomously.
