About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Remote Senior Data Scientist to join their globally distributed team. This role is central to extracting valuable insights from complex datasets, developing predictive models, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will leverage advanced statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data mining methods to solve challenging problems within the Oil & Gas industry. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms for predictive analytics and pattern recognition.
  • Clean, process, and transform large, complex datasets from various sources.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data science solutions.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively through visualizations and reports.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist in the Oil & Gas sector or a related industry.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and SQL.
  • Deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and data mining.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, especially in a remote setting.
