About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Reservoir Simulation Analyst to join their globally distributed team. This role is essential for developing and executing reservoir simulation models to predict fluid flow and optimize production strategies for oil and gas assets. You will work independently from your home office, collaborating virtually with geoscientists and production engineers worldwide. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses deep expertise in reservoir simulation software, and excels at analyzing complex subsurface data. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional seeking a fully remote role with significant technical impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, calibrate, and run complex reservoir simulation models for various geological scenarios.
- Analyze simulation results to forecast future production, evaluate development options, and identify recovery enhancement opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations summarizing simulation findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate virtually with global teams, providing simulation expertise to support exploration and production decisions.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in reservoir simulation technology and methodologies.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of simulation data and model inputs.
Requirements
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in reservoir simulation using industry-standard software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel RE, CMG Suite).
- Strong understanding of reservoir engineering principles, fluid properties, and geological concepts .
- Proven ability to build, run, and interpret simulation models for diverse reservoir types.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Proficiency with programming languages (e.g., Python, VBA) for scripting and automation is a plus.
